Work

Frans Vendel uses a minimalist design and a reductive aesthetic.

This seeks to emphasize the importance of space, rhythm, structure and proportion.

He sees his work as a concrete and essential approach of his own emotional and intellectual experiences .....

The work reflects his interest in architecture, music, science, art and beyond the various manifestations of our everyday visual culture.

The work of Frans Vendel is of essence. The shape is the content. It revolves around the highly demarcated boundary lines, which form the edges of the canvas or pushing against each other. He used, or a single form, or a repetition of shapes so that a structure is formed.

The carrier ( stretchers and canvas ) he regards as an essential part of the composition as it determines the contours of the work.
