loes ham is an artist who embraced in her own specific way the matter art.


she has always been captivated by cultures and  antiquities.

an important source of inspiration is nature in all her facets.

the transitoriness of each component, combined with the infinity of the whole, offers a enormous spectrum of depht and composition.


the materials she uses in her paintings have various characteristics.

among others, different kinds of sand, wood, iron, handmade paper, leather, trouvailles and colour pigments, embedded in polyester resin.

 

during painting the accidentally arise of lines and spots contribute, she does not feel any longer being the only architec of her work. the coincidence and its interpretation are playing an important role.

lives and works in rotterdam, nl

training styling at the bijenkorf

in addition to her styling activities she started to paint. her technique developed and she became known for her abstract work.

using pieces of paper, pigments and medium loes’s style comprised of a composition of several layers on canvas.

loes paints with her heart and soul and enjoys transmitting this to others.
